Complete these required items before January 11

  1. Sign your model contract & provide basic information (click here)

    Completing the step 1 survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes start to finish.  You cannot save mid-way.  Before you begin, please make sure your parents approve your participation and gather your parent's contact information and your emergency contact information.  All other answers you should know.   2. Mark your calendar for all mandatory dates (click here for a list)

  3. Pay your model $135 model fee (Either mail check to address below or click here to pay online)

  4. Submit measurements & other information (click here)

Completing this survey will take less than 5 minutes start to finish if you have your sizes ready.  You cannot save mid-way.  Before you begin, please work with a parent as needed and be as accurate as possible.  You will need to know your height, weight, blouse size, skirt size, dress size, pant size and shoe size. This information will be given to the show’s producer and is for her use only.

    • Mandatory Training Session for Escorts & Daughters: Tues March 12, 7:00pm - 8:00pm

    At this training you will receive information about the Grand Finale segment of the fashion show.  Models should dress casual for rehearsal, but wear the heels they plan to wear the day of the show. Escorts should dress casual for rehearsal.

    Escorts are on stage during the final segment of the show.  If they would like to enjoy dinner and the beginning of the show, they should purchase a regular ticket.  Otherwise, we have a waiting room back stage where they cannot see the show.

Participation Fee

Each model is asked to pay a $135 participation fee. 

This fee helps cover model training, food, and program costs.

Hair Information

We are very excited to inform you that Dustin David Salon of Los Gatos will be providing hair styling for the models on the day of the show. 

Dustin David Salon has offered all Presentation High School models the opportunity to receive a pre-show haircut during the 3 weeks prior to the show (Monday-Friday, Saturday excluded).  This haircut will be with a Junior Stylist at a special one-time introductory price of $25 (valued at $40-50). A list of names will be given to Dustin David Salon, and your ID will be required to avoid duplication. Appointments are to be made directly with Dustin David Salon no later than March 13, 2013.

Makeup Information

Marinello’s will be providing makeup artists for the day of the show. You will arrive with your own foundation and powder applied. Due to the intense lighting on the runway, we recommend that you bring a pair of false eyelashes, which Marinello’s artists will apply. You should arrive with natural nails, neutral polish or French manicure.

 

 

Grand Finale Formal Dress Guidelines

Formal Dress Guidelines (same guidelines the school has for prom dresses).  As a model, you will walk in the Grand Finale at the Dinner Show escorted by your father or other significant adult figure.  Dresses should be tasteful and sophisticated.  There should be no bare stomachs or cutouts on the stomach or sides. There may be no visible tattoos.  The backless area on the dress may extend no lower than the waist. Low cut dresses in the front and see-through dresses are not acceptable.  Spaghetti straps and strapless are ok.  Dress approvals will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 4:30 – 6:00pm in the Gym Foyer.

General

  1. I know another Senior Boy who also has a tie to Presentation that I think would like to participate in this year's Fashion Show.  Are you still accepting nominations?  Yes.  If you know someone you think we should consider for Fashion Show 2013, please nominate them by clicking here.

  2. Where can I find the mandatory dates? click here for a list

  3. When will I find out the exact times of my clothing fittings? Those will be communicated to you in early March.  For now, please mark your calendar for all times listed as possible model fittings (Wed 3/13 & Thurs 3/14 7-9pm, Friday 3/15 - 3:30-9pm, Sat 3/16 & Sun 3/17 8am-4pm, Monday 3/18 3:30-4:30pm.  Note that Model fittings are approx 1-2 hours each and you will need 2 fittings. You will not be needed during ALL of the times indicated.  However, we request that we block this time until you are notified of your specific fitting times.  Your fitting times will be determined by the Producer based upon your segments and the store availability.  You do not get to pick your fitting dates or times.

     

    Grand Finale

  4. What is the Grande Finale? The Model Grand Finale is the last segment of the Evening Fashion Show.  During this segment each Model will walk the runway in an formal gown of their choice with their father or other significant adult figure if their father is unavailable.

  5. Who can be an Escort? Your escort should be your father, if he is available.  If not, another significant adult figure may escort you.  For example, past escorts have been mothers, brothers, uncles or brothers-in-law.

  6. What should I wear in the Grand Finale? You should wear a formal gown such as a prom dress.  Gowns may be long or short, but typically are long.  We have specific guidelines regarding Grand Finale attire and all dresses must be pre-approved during the Grand Finale Gown Approval meeting on Wed. March 13 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm int the Gym Foyer.  See more details by clicking here.

  7. What should my Escort wear in the Grand Finale?
